Lawrence Coulson Live Painting at Castle Galleries
Lawrence Coulson has been one of the most popular of Castle Galleries’ artists for more than 15 years, and has recently unveiled a new collection of works entitled Luminous.
On Saturday 28th April fans will have a unique opportunity to get an insight into his technique and painting process as he will be painting live at The Exchange’s Castle Galleries store from 2pm - 5pm.
Inspired by the same dramatic landscapes that stirred the creative genius of Constable and Turner; the Luminous Collection concentrates on accentuating the grandeur of landscape, with human life portrayed almost incidentally. The collection depicts an atmospheric tranquillity which allows the viewer to escape the realities of the everyday world, taking them to a calmer, dreamlike place.
An exhibition of orininal paintings and signed, limited edition prints will also be on display in the gallery until Sunday 6th May.
