Summer Style At Austin Reed

Summer Style At Austin Reed

Austin Reed looks to its British, classic tailoring heritage since 1900 to create a distinctive
collection for SS13. The range encompasses sharp suiting for the office and beautifully tailored jackets for casual sophistication this season.

Formalwear – Tailoring Mastery
British heritage inspired in its outlook, key pieces include the Prince of Wales overcheck suit,
with traditional hoof-cut waistcoat bringing Edwardian tailoring back to the fore of men’s style.
The focus of heritage formalwear is in the recreation of Austin Reed’s historic shirting.
Featuring three different shirting variations made from luxury two fold Egyptian yarns
including a rounded collar with tiepin, forward point collar and classic cutaway collar shirt;
heritage style has never been better.

Ties
Ties are of particular note this season, not only due to the return to fashion of tiepins that are
featured in the Summit shirting but because of the striking colour palette. Notable colours
include magenta, hot pink, burnt rust and orange.
Heritage makes its mark here too with Savile Row style Club ties in classic red, navy, gold
and featuring Fleur de Lys emblems. A selection of linen ties especially designed for wedding suiting makes a new entry to Austin Reed men’s accessories for 2013.

Casualwear
Casualwear retains a smart, refined elegance of the English Riviera, featuring a tailored blue
blazer with white buttons, the 100% linen blue jacket from the 110 heritage collection and
gingham blazer with leather elbow patches.
Classic linen shirts, traditional polo shirts, textured cardigans and a lightweight flyaway
raincoat mac complete the British heritage look.
Finally, a Harrington jacket for a more casual appearance to keep out the chill on British
summer evenings completes the gentleman’s wardrobe for SS13.
