Karen Millen has created a limited edition striped atelier collection for Spring/Summer 15. Brave New Stripes* is a celebration of the new season and evocative of a light and playful mood for spring. Designed and perfected in their London atelier, each piece is numbered, sometimes offering as few as 30, and never more than 500.
Housed in KM's Shoreditch headquarters, Atelier is intrinsic to the way they design and create collections at Karen Millen. Every piece starts with a sketch in the design studio and the entire creative process takes place in-house. The atelier collections aim to showcase KM's signature craftsmanship, in turn allowing them to create experimental and exclusive fashion pieces with a unique focus on technique, creativity and innovation.
THIS LIMITED EDITION ATELIER COLLECTION SHOWCASES A PLAYFUL TAKE ON THE STRIPE TREND, PLAYING WITH ITS INFINITE VERSATILITY THROUGH A SERIES OF DIFFERENT FABRICATIONS AND TECHNIQUES.
From the perfect tee to the 24 hour dress, wardrobe essentials have been elevated with panelling, digitally manipulated and printed in sunny, paintbox brights. As always, tailoring expertise continues to be in focus; the stripe panel dress is cut on the circular for precise pattern matching, whilst the leather jacket is intricately panelled.
